We believe in treading lightly… to that end we:
Reuse bags and boxes whenever we can
Flour sacks are used for bread deliveries, and then laid down as weed block in our gardens.
Boxes are available to the community for re-use
Choose less plastic whenever we can
Our granolas bags use 20% less plastic than most other granola bags
We strap our boxes onto pallets, instead of wrapping in wads of stretch wrap, using 60% less plastic in the process
We offer a bag reuse program for our wholesale customers
Strive to be as energy efficient as possible
Our building is repurposed, and almost all of our equipment was sourced locally from businesses no longer using them, to be given a second life in our bakery, including all of our mixers and ovens.
Our heating, cooling, & ventilation systems are all more energy efficient than conventional systems
Work with local distributors to source local and organic ingredients whenever possible
And we have zero food waste - we support our local pigs!
